About Ryne

Ryne St. Marie is a Senior Vice President and Broker, specializing in E&S Property and Inland Marine with a focus on large, complex real estate portfolios and catastrophe-exposed risks. He has carved out a niche by helping fast-growing real estate developers manage their Builder’s Risk and permanent placement around the country. Top occupancies include retail, habitational, hospitality, manufacturing/distributing, office, and construction. Much of his work involves structuring layered programs, navigating capacity challenges, and delivering solutions in dislocated or transitional markets. Operating with a strong sense of accountability and urgency, he builds trust through direct communication, delivering on his commitments, and consistently showing up for clients and partners. He stays closely aligned with market dynamics to position deals effectively from the outset. By combining market intelligence with a strong understanding of each client’s objectives, Ryne delivers quick solutions that get deals done.

A third-generation retail insurance professional, Ryne was drawn to the complexity and opportunity of the E&S marketplace. Ryne entered the industry in 2014, aiming to build a long-term career around production and client advisory. He quickly gravitated toward property, particularly real estate, where he combined his technical underwriting knowledge with relationship-driven business development. He served as a team leader, property Broker, and Vice President at another wholesale firm before joining B&R in 2026.

Ryne has a degree in Marketing from the University of Mississippi. He participated in All Risks University, an 8-week intensive E&S training program in Baltimore. He is a regular attendee at WSIA, an active member of YRP and IICF in Dallas, and was the Membership Recruiting Chair of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) from 2023 to 2025. Outside of work, Ryne enjoys golf, spending time with his two young children, and supporting his alma mater’s football and baseball teams.
