About Matt
Matt Gervin is a Senior Vice President, Principal, and Broker who specializes in Management & Professional Liability. He is adept at finding solutions for Architects & Engineers, Contractors, Cyber, Healthcare, Hospitality, Lawyers, Real Estate, Technology, and Transportation. He has built his career on exceptional response time, communication, and finding comprehensive solutions for complex risks.
Beginning his insurance career in Chicago with Near North in 2002, Matt transitioned to wholesale brokerage as an Associate Broker for Travis-Pedersen & Associates in 2004. Then, in 2008, he opened the firm’s first western office in Scottsdale, Arizona. He joined Brown & Riding upon their merger with Travis-Pedersen in December 2012.
Matt is a graduate of Arizona State University where he was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and completed a degree in Business Management. He is a former Board Member of the Insurance Associates in Chicago, IL and the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Arizona. He also participates with the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and is a regular attendee at the Wholesale Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) Annual Marketplace and the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) events.
