About Jon
Jon Cea is a property broker with expertise in layered and shared complex placements, focusing on habitational, tough hospitality, and industrial properties. Jon began his insurance career in 2016 on the carrier side. Intrigued by the wholesale space’s dynamic nature, creative opportunities, and strong emphasis on relationship-building, he joined Brown & Riding in 2021.
Jon is committed to expanding his insurance knowledge. He is a graduate of Brown & Riding’s Rainmaker program, an initiative designed for high-potential talent with a proven track record of leadership and a desire to become brokers, and he was selected to attend Lloyd’s Broker Academy in London in 2023.
Additionally, he holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification. Jon is also actively involved with various industry organizations, including Young Risk Professionals and the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas and Houston.
Jon thrives on developing strategic solutions tailored to clients’ unique needs, leveraging his underwriting background to effectively navigate market conditions. He believes the most important trait for success in the industry is a willingness to work hard and embrace delayed gratification.
