About Jack
As a wholesale broker, Jack O’Donnell assists strategic retail clients in placing Professional and Pollution Liability for contractors, owners, real estate developers, and architects & engineers. Jack joined Brown & Riding in 2017 after spending 10 years as an underwriter and Marketing Director for the Berkshire Hathaway owned United States Liability Insurance Group. With over 15 years of underwriting and brokerage experience in professional liability, he is well suited to advise his clients on the needs of individual insureds while advising on underwriting forms and advocating on their behalf when it comes to claims. Jack was promoted to Assistant Vice President in March 2021. He was further promoted to Senior Vice President in July 2022.
Jack is an active member of Brown & Riding’s Construction Practice Group, a knowledgeable and dedicated team of Construction experts across the country, specializing in Casualty, Property, Environmental, and Professional Liability. He has earned multiple insurance industry designations during his professional career: Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI), Associate in Insurance (AINS), and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS). He has held all these designations for over a decade. Jack attends conferences such as IRMI and has been a teacher for the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) at their west coast conference, is a former Young Professional Board Member of the California Insurance Wholesalers Associate (CIWA), and has been a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
