About Jack
Jack O’Donnell is Brown & Riding’s National Construction Professional Liability Practice Leader and focuses on advancing the firm’s Professional Liability capabilities within the construction sector. He works closely with retail partners and internal specialists to address the increasingly complex risk profiles and contractual demands clients face. As a wholesale broker, Jack assists strategic retail clients in placing Professional Liability and Pollution Liability for contractors, owners, real estate developers, and architects & engineers.
After spending 10 years as an underwriter and Marketing Director for the United States Liability Insurance Group owned by Berkshire Hathaway, Jack joined Brown & Riding in 2017. He became a company Principal and shareholder in 2022. With nearly 20 years of underwriting and brokerage experience in Professional Liability, Jack is well-suited to advise clients on the needs of individual insureds while also advising on underwriting forms and advocating on their behalf when claim issues arise.
Jack is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He has earned multiple insurance industry designations, including Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI), Associate in Insurance (AINS), and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS). He has held these designations for over a decade. He attends conferences such as IRMI and has been a teacher for the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) at their West Coast conference. He is also a former Young Professional Board Member of the California Insurance Wholesalers Association (CIWA) and has been a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
