Cristi Carrington Appointed CDO at Brown & Riding

Brown & Riding has announced the appointment of Cristi Carrington as Chief Distribution Officer (CDO). Carrington was responsible for building and managing the MGA/underwriting division of Alexander, Morford & Woo, Inc. (AMW) and has been part of Brown & Riding as Director of Underwriting since the companies merged at the end of 2010. Prior to joining AMW in 2006, Carrington held underwriting positions of increasing responsibility at several insurance carriers and MGAs. Over the past decade, her role at B&R has been expanded to include specialty program oversight and placement, claims/client advocacy, and developing the firm’s strategic carrier/client partnerships. As Chief Distribution Officer, she will continue to execute on the firm’s strategic carrier and client initiatives, as well as maintaining oversight of the Underwriting division. She continues to operate from the company’s Seattle office.

Carrington currently serves on the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) Board of Directors, a position she has held since 2021. She also currently serves as WSIA’s PAC Committee Chair.
