Brown & Riding is pleased to announce the appointment of George Sella as National Construction Practice Leader and Jack O’Donnell as National Construction Professional Liability Practice Leader.

“George and Jack bring deep industry knowledge, proven leadership, and a clear understanding of what it takes to navigate today’s construction environment. Their appointments reflect the continued growth of our construction practice and our commitment to structuring the group in a way that best serves our clients,” said Chris Brown, Chairman. “They have both been integral to the success of the practice, and I have full confidence in their leadership as we evolve. I look forward to supporting their efforts as we continue to deliver thoughtful, high-quality solutions for our clients.”

Sella joined Brown & Riding in 2010, was named a Principal in 2015, and has served as the practice’s co-leader, alongside his predecessor, Chris Brown, since 2025. As National Construction Practice Leader, Sella will oversee the continued development of the practice, with responsibility for facilitating collaboration across disciplines, guiding strategic growth, and fostering talent within the practice.

“I’m incredibly grateful for Chris’s leadership and the foundation he has built for our practice area. His expertise, perspective, and steady guidance have been instrumental to our growth, and I look forward to his continued partnership and support as he remains involved for years to come,” said Sella. “I am also excited to continue working with our talented group of construction specialists nationwide to deliver the high-level expertise, responsiveness, and solutions our clients rely on.”

O’Donnell joined Brown & Riding in 2017 and was named a Principal in 2022. As National Construction Professional Liability Practice Leader, he will focus on advancing the firm’s professional liability capabilities within the construction sector, working closely with retail partners and internal specialists to address increasingly complex risk profiles and contractual demands.

“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the work that has shaped our practice over the years,” said O’Donnell. “We have a strong group of specialists and long-standing relationships with our retailer partners, and my focus is on continuing to deliver disciplined execution, thoughtful solutions, and consistent service as the practice grows. I look forward to working with Chris, George, and our colleagues across the firm to support our clients’ evolving needs.”
