Outstanding Student Leadership Award

Congratulations to Lauren Story for being honored by the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) RMI faculty and staff

We are proud to congratulate Lauren Story, who has received the Ole Miss Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award due to her hard work, dedication, and strong leadership skills. In her role as President of the Gamma Iota Sigma chapter at Ole Miss, Lauren “showed herself to be an effective leader and set a wonderful example of professionalism and hard work for the other members,” says Andre P. Liebenberg, Ph.D., Robertson Chair of Insurance, and Associate Professor of Finance. According to Liebenberg, “she also did a great job in the classroom.” Lauren’s success with her summer internship at Brown & Riding was also considered during the evaluation process. Upon graduation, Lauren joined B&R full-time and is currently a Production Assistant in the Property department.

Brown & Riding has had a long-standing relationship with the University of Mississippi and was recognized this year for being a 10-year sponsor of the university’s Risk Management and Insurance program, which is one of the oldest and most well-respected RMI programs in the world, dating back to 1947. Over the past 10 years, B&R has become one of the largest employers of Ole Miss Business School graduates in the country. We currently employ well over 40 Ole Miss students and alumni.
