About Susannah
Susannah Armstrong is a Production Underwriter, specializing in high-net-worth personal lines. She leverages her experience and market knowledge to find the best option for each unique risk, handling tough accounts, including homeowners policies in areas with increased wildfire exposure. With her diverse background across numerous industries, she possesses a well-rounded foundation of knowledge to handle a variety of niche requests. She earns clients’ trust and confidence by approaching each transaction with adaptability and integrity.
An energetic professional with over 15 years’ experience, Susannah began her insurance career in 2010. She originally worked at Wells Fargo Insurance Services as an Executive Assistant and joined the personal lines team with encouragement from her coworkers. She has experience working on both the retail and wholesale sides of personal lines. Before joining Brown & Riding in 2026, she performed several insurance roles including over two years as a Production Underwriter with Novatae Risk Group and two years in Excess & Surplus with Marsh McLennan Agency. Before she switched to wholesale insurance, she also worked in marketing and accounting.
Susannah earned her CISR designation in 2017 and her CPRM in 2021. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The College of Charleston. She is a licensed Insurance Producer in multiple states, including Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington. She is a current member of PRMA and a past committee member of the IIABSC.
