About Robert
As a wholesale broker, Robert Pedersen is adept at placing General Liability and Excess Liability with a focused specialization on tough-to-place products accounts and construction risks, including project-specific and Wrap-Up programs (OCIP/CCIP). He develops programs, specialized coverages, and customized policies to fit the unique needs of insureds nationwide. His team takes pride in developing solutions for retail partners, to best assist them in growing their book of business.
Robert began his insurance career in 2007 as a primary casualty underwriter, writing accounts ranging from small basic policies to the large and complex. In 2011, Robert assisted in starting another firm’s E&S primary casualty construction unit, including appetite development, forms writing, and national launch marketing. As an E&S construction underwriter, he developed relationships with wholesale brokers across the country and noticed a need for knowledge, creativity, and specialization in the wholesale space. Seeing an opportunity and having an eagerness to advance, Robert made the move from underwriter to E&S wholesale broker by joining Travis-Pedersen (now Brown & Riding) in 2013. He was promoted to Vice President in 2014 and became a Senior Vice President and company Principal in 2022.
