About Lauren
Lauren Shane has built a career as a casualty specialist and focuses on General Liability, Auto, and Excess Liability placements. With over 25 years of experience placing Transportation, Construction, Real Estate, Product Liability, and Hospitality risks, she has developed her Sharing Economy expertise over the past 8 years, a space that demands critical insight and dexterity, rewarding her passion for complex challenges.
Lauren takes a client-centric approach in her work and focuses on effective communication and determination. She enjoys crafting tailored coverage solutions for unique risks, as well as building relationships and creating successful collaborations.
Lauren joined Brown & Riding as a Broker in 2017. In 2022, she became a principal and company shareholder. She currently holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations, and she is Director of the CPCU Society’s Golden Gate Chapter in San Francisco. In her free time, Lauren loves spending time with her children, traveling, concert-going, and being active in her community with TLC Child and Family Services and the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
