About Christopher
Christopher Welty skillfully manages the Human Resource needs of Brown & Riding, a growing company of over 350 employees. He began working for the firm in early 2007 as an HR Assistant, was promoted to HR Coordinator less than 6 months later, and then named Assistant Vice President in 2009. He became Vice President in 2014, Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources in 2017, and then Principal and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2019.
During his tenure, Christopher has seen B&R more than quadruple in growth. He helped successfully integrate the company through two mergers and has been a strong advocate for many of the company’s important benefit plan enhancements for more than a decade. He excels at collaboration and has been a key contributor in establishing and promoting the company’s culture and offering programs and opportunities to help employees.
Christopher has earned Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designations and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He also regularly participates with local charitable and community organizations.
